Competition management, made simple

One platform.
Every way to compete.

From a Tuesday night social to the club championship final, 40LOVE runs every competition your club plays — the draws, the fixtures, the scores and the standings — in one place.

Five ways to play

Find the format for your club

Every club is different. Pick the structure that fits your players, your calendar and the kind of competition you want to run — or run all five at once.

Box Leagues

Play. Compete. Move up.

Players are split into divisions of a similar standard and play everyone in their box over a round. When the round ends, the top of each division goes up and the bottom comes down, on the rules the organiser set — and the next round starts with the new divisions already drawn.

Best for: Regular, structured competition between players of a similar standard.

Ladders

Challenge up. Climb the rankings.

One standing list that runs continuously, with no rounds and no end date. A player challenges somebody ranked above them and takes their position by winning. The club sets how many places above a player may challenge, so the top of the ladder is never out of reach and never a free-for-all.

Best for: Year-round competition that players can pick up whenever they are free.

Club Championships

Every match counts.

A straight knockout: win and go through, lose and you are out, until the club has a champion. Organisers can seed the draw, add a plate so the players knocked out first get a second competition rather than one afternoon's tennis, and run the whole thing as a handicap event where every entrant starts on a different score.

Best for: Annual club titles, and classic knockout events with a final worth watching.

Tournaments

Group stages. Knockout finish.

Entrants start in round-robin groups and play everyone in theirs, so nobody turns up and loses once. The leading finishers from each group go through to a knockout draw that runs to a final.

Best for: Events that want guaranteed matches first and a knockout finish after.

Socials

More games. More partners. More fun.

  • Americano Doubles Register on your own. Partners rotate every round and 40LOVE allocates the courts.
  • Team Americano Register as a fixed pair and stay together, meeting different opponents each round.
  • Classic Social Register on your own and sort partners out at the club. 40LOVE keeps the scores and the leaderboard.

Best for: Club nights, mixers, and getting newer members playing with everybody else.

Team leagues and inter-club fixtures are on the way — see what’s next.
